Summary
Serves as a central point of contact for nursing issues in the absence of Nursing managers and administrators. Coordinates bed assignments with Emergency Department, Nursing units and Patient Placement to facilitate appropriate and expeditious patient placement/assignment. Responds to inquiries from media, troubleshoots issues between Nursing units and ancillary departments.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
2-3 years’ clinical experience. Minimum of one year management/supervisory experience. Demonstrates leadership characteristics. Working knowledge of staffing, admissions and prioritization for patient placement. Strong interpersonal skills required. Able to trouble shoot problem areas and maintain positive attitude.Work requires long periods of standing, sitting or walking and occasional lifting. Must have command of the English language and possess visual and auditory acuity.
