Summary
Plans, organizes and manages the daily operations and activities of a centralized Accounts Payable disbursement function. Supervises employees, monitors activities and ensures invoice processing requirements are met.
Education And Formal Training
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business with 2 years of experience required or 7 years’ experience in an accounts payable setting with a minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures as they relate to purchasing and accounts payable
Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices
Knowledge of electronic data interface (EDI) exchanges
Skill in evaluating and analyzing technical accounts payable activities
Skill in preparing written reports
Skill in both verbal and written communication
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
Near visual acuity required. Numerical ability required. Motor coordination and finger dexterity required to operate computer terminal and typewriter. Talking and hearing to give information by phone. Light lifting and carrying may be required.
