📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Content Development Representative/Interview Scheduler is responsible for initiating market projects for the Editorial Team by proactively reaching out to businesses in respective markets to invite leaders for an interview.
Content Development Representative responsibilities include working closely with our Content Manager(s) to create a robust agenda of interviews, prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and actively reaching out to business leaders for projects. You will perform various coordinating tasks, like cold calling businesses, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be comfortable with cold calling, and time management skills as you’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.
Ultimately, the Content Development Representative's duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time by proactively building the Editorial team’s interview pipeline by cold calling businesses in the assigned market to invite business leaders for an interview.
Key Responsibilities:Works on multiple CAA projects at any given timeSchedules a minimum of 5-8 interviews a week by reaching out via phone with leading CEOsQualify leads as interview opportunitiesContact potential clients through cold calls and emailsPresent our company to potential clientsBuild long-term trusting relationships with clientsProactively seek new business opportunities in the marketSet up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients with Content Managers and Account ExecutivesReport to the Senior Editor on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) scheduled interviews resultsEstablishes and maintains good relationships with the government, partners, and local authoritiesConducts market researchResearches all companies and prepare questions in advance for the informative discussions and interviewsRecommends potential viewpoints and interviews to the head office editorial staffConducts and reports on all interviewsObtains approval for all local published viewpoints and interviews or market-sensitive materialRecords and transmits all relevant informative discussionsPulls quotes from transcripts or soft edits fully published interviewsResponsible for the collation of certain editorial material (interviews, viewpoints and photographs)Ensures accuracy of all work completed in our CRM programEnsures accuracy of all work which is normally saved on Google DriveAssists in maintaining social media in market via tweeting about meetings, conferences attended or hosted and major market developmentsWrites e-blast articles as necessary sent out to the company’s online subscribersProvides editorial support for launch conferences (writing press releases, contacting media to attend, social media prior and during the event)Calls for RSVPs to any of the CAA events and obtains good results
