Technical Program Manager

As a Technical Program Manager II in the Investment Group Technology team, you will contribute by facilitating an efficient development process for several key platforms in the Investors' Process domain of Capital Group. You will be assisting development and product teams in project coordination, data guidance, business knowledge transition, and feasibility feedback. In this role, you will plan and execute efficient delivery of software products by analyzing business requirements and goals from the product team, examining data inventories, and translating them into actionable engineering backlog. Your main goal in this role is to facilitate and enable successful product delivery by empowering engineering teams with domain business knowledge, understanding constraints and dependencies to design the software, and clear communication across engineering teams. You can expect ideating on the business logic, and rules, capturing high-level alternatives of architecture patterns and systems integration in detailed system requirements documents and stories.

You Have Following Experience

4+ years of technical project or program management or business systems analysis and working directly with engineering teamsExperience in project management for medium-sized technology projects and/or programsBachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

You have experience ushering project execution through the agile lifecycleYou are detailed in the specification and planning of system requirements with internal Investment Group customersYou can identify risks and external dependencies (such as data) and communicate them clearly to project stakeholdersYou are comfortable with discussing technical trade-offs with engineering and product teams, capturing outcomes, and communicating them clearly to project stakeholdersYou have experience with backlog grooming, including the identification of future opportunities for improvementYou keep up-to-date system backlog (actualizing acceptance criteria for user stories, epic description, system specifications in confluence etc.)You have experience with executing data analysis (writing sample logic in SQL or script language) to assist the development team with business domain understandingYou triage and prioritize the technical backlog

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of project and product management experience, includingAdvanced experience in business systems analysisAbility to perform system analysis and capture detailed system requirements, business rules, use cases, and acceptance criteria.Experience with data analysis, including scripting languages, SQL, tools, and platformsAbility to lead teams through influence and knowledge - from both technical and product aspectsAssist the leadership team in managing solution scope, delivery schedule, and resource planning

Southern California Base Salary Range $148,045-$236,872

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
