Production Manager (English/Spanish)

As our company is growing and additional production shifts are in demand, we are seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Production Manager to join our team in Melrose Park, IL.

Job Summary:The Production Manager is responsible for managing, directing, and monitoring the day-to-day processing functions and activities required to maximize the use of people and raw materials to produce products and provide services that meet company, customer, and government expectations. Position hours are from 3PM to 12AM, Monday-Friday with overtime required from time to time. Hours are subject to change if production demands change.

Job Duties:Manage the execution of production plans through operators and other hourly labor in production Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety programs through regular adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), food safety checks (HACCP), and product quality checks conducted according to company and customer expectationsResolve problems and mitigate operational issues that result in negative performanceOwns regulatory compliance and food safety process, including proper sanitary condition, allergen control, pest control, food safety policy, employee safety policies and procedures, and maintaining MCRS sustainability standardsCollaborates with other departments to obtain supplies, products, equipment, and services necessary to meet production schedules.Complete and maintain necessary daily production activities and review results against established targets and report variances during on-the-floor and review meetingsResponsible for all supervisory activities including, but not limited to; new hire orientation and training, scheduling, performance evaluations, discipline, coaching, safety training and employee development, along with recommendations for hiring and terminations.Investigate customer quality issues, develop, and implement corrective actionsDirect a crew of twenty (20) workers to meet production goals and achieve company standards related to cost, line efficiencies, waste, safety, and productivity.

Requirements:Experience managing people, with ability to work with employees at all levels of the organizationPrior experience managing in the food industry Bilingual (Spanish/English)Well organized, capable of multi-tasking with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance workloadSolid written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and execute strategic problem-solving skills to make well informed decisions under pressure Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applicationsH.S.
