Role is based in our Redwood City, CA US headquarters office.
The successful candidate will develop, implement, and validate a new automated calibration process & functional system for an optical sensor used in Carbon 3D printers calibration process.
This work will require experience in Python coding as main prerequisite and basic hands on/engineering skills.
As part of the project, you will...
Write Python code that will run motorized positioning equipment, sensors, and light sources, collect and process the data from the sensors and export the resultWrite unit tests and conduct thorough testing of software applications to ensure reliability and stabilityUse optical design software to extract relevant input parametersPerform integration of the measurement system software and hardwarePerform full validation of the system and demonstrate achieved resultsWork on integration into Carbons printer calibration software
