Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

The M&A Analyst will support the origination, structuring, negotiation and execution of acquisitions, and investments for Cardone Ventures. In this role, the M&A Analyst will work with the FP&A and Partnership team to support potential acquisition and investment opportunities

OBJECTIVES

Develop detailed financial models for M&A transactionsParticipate in all aspects of due diligence activities for additional context on active dealsAssist with the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations for the executive teamConduct research and analysis to screen and qualify potential M&A opportunitiesAssist with the development of broader strategic initiatives and investment strategiesIdentify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and Ad Hoc reports, tools and Excel dashboardsNormalize and develop financial systems to increase efficiency in reportingAggregate past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends and make recommendations for improvementsProvide financial evaluation of opportunities

COMPETENCIES

Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functionsAbility to gather and skillfully analyze financial data and identify the information needed to solve a problem effectivelyStrong understanding of financial models, budgets and financial reporting packagesDemonstrated ability and experience developing and managing complex financial modelsTeam-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop collaborative relationships across the organizationDriven, self-starter with a passion for excellenceAbility to work with project management software (e.g.,Asana) and G-Suite (Slides and Docs)Ability to identify inefficiencies in financial reporting and propose a potential solutionStrong understanding of how to perform variance analysisStrong aptitude for interpreting financial statements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience2-4+ years of M&A in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, corporate finance, or management consulting experience

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
