Staff Accountant
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client, a venture capital firm located in Menlo Park, is looking for a temporary Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a hybrid position 3 days onsite, 2 remote. You would be responsible for accounting support of various venture capital and growth equity funds. An ideal candidate will have experience with journal entries, month end closes, cash management, compliance work, and generating reports and yearly audits.
- Please note this is a six month contract role, Pay will be $ 55-60 HR *
Responsibilities: Journal entry and month end close activity for various venture capital/growth equity fundsMaintain investment fund ledgers, reconciliations, accruals, payroll entries, etc.Assist in cash management for all fundsAssist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reportsAssist with both internal and external reporting requirements including internal investment level tracking and external LP reporting, and regulatory reporting as neededPrepare and develop management and ad hoc reports and analyses as neededProvide assistance with special accounting projects as required
Qualifications: 4+ years industry experience preferredPublic Accounting experience preferredBachelor’s degree with concentration in accounting or finance or relevant experienceCPA preferredGeneral Ledger experience Strong work ethic and initiative and exceptional integrityOrganized and detail oriented, with good analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAble to work independently as well as part of a teamFamiliarity with Microsoft Business Central, Jet Reports, and other GL software
