Full Time Nanny Needed in Peoria, IL. Option to Live-in (Temporarily).

A loving family of five is searching for a warm and nurturing Nanny to join their team! The family has two girls, aged 5 months and 12 years and one boy aged 4 years. The family also has two cats. The nanny should be comfortable with occasional pet care as needed. Recent infant and toddler experience is required. Option to live-in for 6-8 weeks if desired with opportunity for relocation/housing assistance if necessary.

During the week, the nanny’s main responsibility will be working together as a team with mom and/or the family’s part-time nanny to manage the “afternoon/evening shuffle”. This includes but is not limited to transporting children to and from school or activities, infant care, helping with homework, meal prep for the children, children’s laundry as needed, overseeing bath and bedtime routines, and ensuring common spaces and all children related messes are tidied at the end of the day. Weekends will be similar, requiring teamwork to ensure the household is running smoothly and the children’s schedules are managed.

The ideal candidate is calm, patient, and takes a gentle approach that meets the children where they are while still being able to maintain boundaries. The family also values someone who is a proactive self-starter who doesn’t need constant direction but also knows how to “read the room” and take a step back when appropriate. This is a long-term position and requires at least one year of commitment. Up to date Tdap, Flu, and Covid vaccinations required.

Start Date: ASAPSchedule: Approximately Monday-Friday 2pm-9pm, Saturday 6pm-9pm, Sunday 8am-8pm. Weekends are a priority. Nanny will receive at least one day off per week. Some flexibility needed. Nanny will be given their schedule in advance. At least 40 hours guaranteed per week. Pay: $35-$45/hr. DOE.
