Located in Indianapolis, Indiana our privately held manufacturing operation provides fresh short shelf-life products to most of the major food retailers. This just in time operation requires a person who will work with subordinates in developing their skills and abilities and will ensure that we work with employees in a collaborative manner in order for them to support our high quality and production requirements.

In this Leadership role you will interface with owners of the business, vendors and suppliers and will operate in a style which supports our culture and values. This role will have responsibility for the direction and management and employees of a plant where your responsibilities will include

The assurance that supervisors and lead employees are knowledgeable in the exercise of their dutiesBeing a mentor to management and to be responsible for the positive employee relations climate in the facilityEnsure that all employees are trained in the effective performance of their responsibilitiesEnsuring that product quality standards are being achievedProviding coordination of maintenance activity ensuring that equipment is in proper working order and that preventative maintenance is in placeCoordinating the management of GMP’s, SOP’s, HACCP and to ensure that propre sanitation guidelines are applied.To make sure that Company policy, practice and procedures are being applied in a consistent and proper mannerTo work in a collaborative style with owners, management and employees by using effective communication approachesTo maintain effective reporting regarding performance and to effectively manage the operation which is a cost-based center vs a P&L based operation.

Your degree in or relevant food manufacturing experience coupled with at least 10 years of significant Food Production is essential. As our organization produces fresh food products that dictates, we apply on time performance standards.
