Our company located in Chicago has multiple plant operations producing Fresh food products. We need to add a Leadership focused Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manger to our staff who will build on the excellent quality standards we already have which has made our products a leader.

In this role you will be responsible for

Assessing our current standards for compliance with established company standardsWorking with the quality staff to enhance their skills and to ensure the competency of their practices and to develop them for increased responsibilitiesTo ensure we are applying both FDA and USDA standardsTo establish standard practices for quality testing of our in process and finished goods productsTo bring the Quality awareness to our production organization with training and educationTo ensure compliance with proper and complete documentation of the manufacturing production and testing processTo verify through report and inspection processes that compliance with quality requirements are in placeTo perform internal audits on a regular basisTo ensure vendor and supplier quality standards and complianceTo develop training and education for hourly employees in quality requirementsTo interface with external Quality inspectors from both our customers and industry audit organizationsThe development of quality process for equipment function and housekeeping standardsTo develop recommendations for equipment, process or educational needs to enhance the role of Quality within the organizationTo establish reporting through data process methodology where information on the Quality process and result can be captured.To coordinate with upper management on Quality results, waste and Quality improvement needs.Will evaluate practices in GMP, SOP, HACCAP, Food Safety and Sanitation and equipment standards to ensure compliance with required standards

In this role we will expect you to provide the leadership, education and involvement with all levels in our organization and or with the customers we serve and to communicate with all stakeholder both internally as well as externally.
