Scientist I, Cell Therapy

Your work will have a real-world impact helping to create access to life-saving cures for people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and genetic diseases. We are seeking a highly energetic and collaborative Scientist of Cell Therapy to work in an R&D environment. This position will report to the Director of Cell Therapy.

ResponsibilitiesPerform viral immunology techniques such as immune cell isolation & culturing, primary cell transduction using LV/AAV vectors, multi-parametric flow cytometry, and cell-based functional assays (e.g., virus/vector titration, ELISA, and cytotoxicity assays).Work with the Quality Control group to execute assay qualification, validation, and transfer of new & existing PCR analytical methods to the clinical trial site (qPCR, and dPCR).Contribute high-quality scientific data to enable grant funding and support regulatory filings. Author, publish, and present scientific research at the organization’s seminars and at scientific conferences.Maintain a safe BSL-2+ laboratory environment and participate in the Biosafety Program.Secure and maintain laboratory equipment, consumables, and reagents.

QualificationsFresh PhD or MS in cell & molecular biology, immunology with 2-5 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical and/or academic setting is preferred.Candidate must have a solid understanding of immunology, genetic manipulation techniques, and immunophenotyping by flow cytometry. Hands-on experience generating ex vivo cell & gene therapy products (e.g., CAR-T cells) is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with in vivo model setup and sample analysis is preferred.Expertise in gene editing and/or CAR-T cell immunotherapy is a plus.
