Structural Department Manager

RequirementsB.S.C.E. in Structural, Civil Engineering, or equivalentRegistration as a Professional Engineer in PA is required and NJ preferred10+ years experienceExperience working with local and state agenciesPrior experience working on PennDOT or Turnpike projects is highly preferredProgressive experience working directly with clients and developing relationships, with proven ability to win workExcellent communication, business development, project management, and client relation skillsStrong organization, and leadership skills with a track record for understanding and adhering to contractual requirementsSome AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferredKnowledge of structural design software including PennDOT programs

ResponsibilitiesWill develop, manage, and mentor a staff of Structural Engineers and Structural DesignersDesigning and analyzing existing and proposed structures, including bridges, culverts, buildings, and other infrastructureSecuring, planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of local, county and state bridge projects, including permitsBridge inspection experienceAbility to draft and prepare effective and efficient project proposalsConstruction support services, such as contract administration, project coordination, permitting, and budget managementStrong understanding of project financials and reporting; maintaining compliance with Division and Project financial objectives including utilization, profit, and overheadManage and grow the Corporate Structural Engineering DisciplineParticipate in local civic and professional organizations such as the chamber of commerce, ASCE, NSPE to promote the CompanyRetention and development of Client relationships
