About this RoleThis is a full-time on-site role for a Licensed Veterinary Technician. As an LVT at our practices, you would:Perform duties in alignment with hospital medical policies and procedures.Assist the doctor in medical, surgical, and dental procedures.Administer and monitor anesthesia for patients during surgery.Place IV catheters and give injections or oral medications as instructed.Conduct dental procedures including cleaning, polishing, charting, and radiographs.Carry out emergency procedures, such as controlling bleeding and resuscitation.Perform clinical laboratory procedures, including drawing blood and recording results.Take radiographs and perform ECGs.Maintain cleanliness and inventory in surgical and dental areas.Admit and discharge patients, and counsel clients on proper care and procedures.Handle patient prescriptions and explain usage and dosage of medications.Assist other staff members and complete additional tasks as required.
