📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a Billing Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain customer profiles. You will play a crucial role in reconciling monthly payments, addressing discrepancies, and providing effective communication with other departments. In this Direct Hire Billing Specialist position, you could earn between $60,000 - $80,000 per year depending on your experience.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish, maintain, and update customer profiles in accordance with internal control procedures.Conduct monthly reconciliation of received payments, promptly flagging any discrepancies and notifying relevant parties.Address client discrepancies by effectively communicating with both the team and the client.Manage inquiries and correspondence from the team and clients by identifying, researching, processing, and resolving issues in a timely manner.Generate and distribute various reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.Strive to meet individual and department performance goals in terms of quality, quantity, and timeliness.Document inquiries and correspondence by updating employing unit accounts in the system.
Qualifications2-3 years of prior accounts receivables, billing experienceAssociate's Degree in accounting or equivalent experienceBackground in health insurance-related field preferable, but not requiredAbility to prioritize, multitask, and work independently
