Our Maintenance Lead is responsible for assigning work orders and their completion as well as supporting maintenance and groundskeeping staff in the community. Will provide guidance and assistance where needed for team members with their assigned tasks and work with Maintenance Manager to resolve work orders that exceed standard daily process.

About the community

Grayhawk is an upscale master-planned community located on 1,615 acres in the high Sonoran Desert. Dwellings include single family, condominiums, townhomes, villas, and a luxury life-care retirement with an assisted living section. Grayhawk features two distinctive yet interconnected neighborhoods – The Park and the Retreat Village, consisting of almost 3,800 residential units.

The Park is made up of family-friendly neighborhoods with pocket parks, greenbelts, playground areas, and Ramada. The Retreat Village consists of two guard- gated communities, which include six tennis courts and seven individual neighborhood swimming pools and spas for use by Retreat Village residents. Other amenities include over 30 miles of multi-use trails; a two City of Scottsdale neighborhood parks; public and private schools; Boys and Girls Club campus; two 18-hole world-class championship golf courses; retail shopping and dining; commercial and office developments; and a medical campus which includes a 184-bed hospital.

What you’ll accomplish:

Support daily upkeep of the community grounds and facilities by groundskeeping and maintenance staff, work with Maintenance Manager to plan and allocate staffMonitoring, prioritizing and completing maintenance work orders through Trello and SeeClickFix/Daybreak Direct (or other community task software)Operating within OSHA standards and company safety policies, including monitoring, reporting and resolving issues with common area/amenity equipment, tools and vehiclesSupporting the Maintenance Manager through record keeping, assignment tracking, and vendor assistance, as well as providing coverage when the manager is offsite or otherwise unavailableMaintaining the inventory of supplies / equipment needed to perform duties by teamProvide coverage and support when the maintenance manager is offsite or unavailableMay work in conjunction with the Operations Manager and/or Operations Tech to accomplish goals in the community

What we’re looking for:

High school diploma or equivalentMust be 18 years oldMust have at least 2 years of general maintenance and landscape knowledge as well as understand best practices for grounds keeping and care/upkeep of community amenities and common areasSkills/experience in carpentry, HVAC, electric, plumbing and other building tradesExperience in landscaping, irrigation and grounds maintenance highly helpfulMust be organized, efficient and have the ability to recognize the level of quality acceptable to keep facilities looking their bestAbility to communicate with residents, managers and peers in an effective wayComfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and able to sit or stand for long periods of timeFlexibility to work after-hours and weekendsProblem solving skillsValid Driver’s License and a clean driving historyMust pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and physicalAbility to lift 50 lbs.
