📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Title: Power BI Analyst Job Location: Los Angeles, CA (Remote position)Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Note: Although this is a remote position but we can only consider someone local for the position as occasional travel is involved.Candidate with prior State/Federal Govt client's experience are highly preferred
Mandatory Skills: Candidate MUST have at least 8 years of total IT experience The candidate should be proficient in building and maintaining impactful dashboards and reports using Power BI. The ideal candidate will have experience leading end-to-end implementations of Power BI solutions, from data acquisition and transformation to the creation of dynamic and insightful visualizations.Expertise in Power BI including data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), creating calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.Proficiency in building interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI Desktop.Knowledge of Power BI administration tasks such as managing workspaces, security, and data refresh schedules.Strong understanding of data analysis concepts and methodologies.Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights through visualization.Proficiency in creating custom visuals and advanced visualizations to enhance storytelling and data exploration.Ability to connect Power BI to various data sources including databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and online services.Experience with Power BI Service for publishing, sharing, and collaborating on reports and dashboards.Experience in designing intuitive and interactive dashboards tailored to different user requirements.Familiarity with SQL for data querying and manipulation.Ability to write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from databases and other data sources for analysis in Power BI.Experience with other data visualization tools.
