What will you be doing in this role?
The Therapy Aide provides supportive services under the direct supervision of a licensed/registered therapist. Duties include patient related and non-patient related tasks and is dependent on competency and level of training completed. Patient related tasks may include transportation, preparation and assisting patient care, and/or assist with the application of modalities and procedures according to the prescription of the physician and as delegated by the primary therapist of the same discipline. Non-patient related tasks include maintenance of area, monitoring of equipment and supplies, and clerical duties.
Job duties and responsibilities
Assists staff in treatment/set-up and clean-up under the direct supervision of a licensed therapistAssists management and management support staff with coordination of patient carePerforms routine duties including preparation, maintenance and clean up of the treatment areas and ordering/monitoring of equipment. Follows up with therapist and/or management on incomplete tasks, as appropriate as neededPrepares and transports patients as assigned and assists with group treatment as neededMay assist with scheduling and front office tasks and may perform other related duties such as orientation to new tasks/areas or special projects
Qualifications
Education
HS Diploma/GED required
License/Certifications
BLS from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross required
Experience
No experience required Must possess a minimum computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows or comparable system (specifically including keyboard and mouse skills). As applicable to individual job duties and expectations, employee must additionally possess a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation development, e-mail, browser and online reporting.2 years of Therapy Aide experience preferred in a clinic setting
