Senior Structural Engineer (24315)

Position Overview: One of CEI's largest automotive clients is seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to join their Organization! The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning and coordination of structure-related measures in assembly buildings, including concrete foundations, tool steel installation, and secondary media installation. This role will involve serving as the interface between equipment and construction suppliers, coordinating shutdown activities, creating RFQ documents, and ensuring the smooth implementation of all equipment or process-related secondary media installations.

Required Skills/Experience: Proven experience in construction coordination or project management.6 years of Structural Engineering ExperienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Solid organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Nice to Have/Plusses: Project management experience, Proficiency in project management tools and software.Strong understanding of primary and secondary media installations, including electricity, network drops, and compressed air.

Day to Day/Responsibilities: Plan, implement, and coordinate all equipment or process-related secondary media installations, such as compressed air, lighting, energy, and IT.Serve as the interface between equipment and construction suppliers, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.Coordinate shutdown activities to minimize disruption and ensure efficiency.Create RFQ documents for additional scopes if needed, ensuring clarity and accuracy.Create and track CRs (Change Requests) if necessary for the different trades, ensuring that changes are documented and managed effectively.Meet with planners and suppliers to align details and ensure project objectives are met.Evaluate and check secondary media layouts, creating project plans to steer activities.Conduct onsite checks and coordinate supplier activities during shutdowns.Meet with planners and create specifications to tender additional installations, ensuring alignment with project goals.Track project budget to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
