Copywriter, Senior (Hybrid)

Compensation Range: $50 - 57 per hour

Cella is looking for a skilled Senior Copywriter to join our top retail client's dynamic team!

As a Senior Copywriter, you'll infuse storytelling with heart and humanity to help our client's customers save money and live better. The ideal candidate is able to work autonomously and self-manage, as well as collaborate closely.

This is a hybrid, long-term ongoing contract role in which candidates must be in the Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, or Hoboken, NJ area.

Responsibilities

Compose copy that gets to the heart of who our client's customers are. You'll cover a range of topics & assets, including paid & owned social channels, site assets, emails, digital ads, store signage, printed mailers, large-scale multichannel campaigns, brainstorms, pitch decks, video scripts, & style guides.Gain a deep understanding of the brand's core principles, creative copy voice, tone, & style guides, applying that understanding to the crafting copy to support business goals.Independently manage multiple copy projects on different timelines with varying levels of complexity & importance to the business.Own copy execution for large-scale, high-priority campaigns. Determine messaging priorities & partner with design to compose high volumes of creative assets, integrate stakeholder feedback, & deliver final assets on deadline.Translate messaging direction & business priorities into compelling, customer-centric copy.Independently collaborate with Design & other team members to come up with creative solutions to meet business goals.Make edits following feedback from partners including marketers, site managers, editors, & the Copy Lead.Approach copy feedback from partners with a positive, collaborative attitude & willingness to learn & grow.Attend & engage in project kick-off & follow-up meetings by asking proactive questions, seeking clarity, & anticipating required information to compose effective copy.Take character limitations & design constraints into account when creating copy, & partner with editors to resolve writing or grammar issues.

Qualifications

Experience level: ExperiencedMinimum 4 years of experienceBA in Journalism, Creative Writing, Advertising, or related field & 3+ year copywriting experience OR 5+ years copywriting experience.3 years' experience copywriting in an ecommerce environment.Experience writing for home goods.A portfolio showcasing omni-channel campaign samples.Agency experience a plus!
