Cyber Security Officer

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our organization’s information systems and networks. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of security measures, from planning and implementation to management and response. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain robust security measures, ensuring the protection of organizational data, systems, and networks. • Proactively respond to cybersecurity incidents and alerts. • Conduct quarterly vulnerability scans and an annual comprehensive cyber risk assessment. • Formulate, revise, and keep the organization’s cybersecurity policies and procedures up to date. • Implement effective security controls to safeguard the organization’s data and infrastructure. • Actively participate in the change management process to ensure security considerations are addressed. • Identify, test, and rectify network and system vulnerabilities. • Handle daily administrative tasks, provide reports, and maintain clear communication with relevant departments. • Troubleshoot various security and network issues as they arise. Requirements: • A minimum of 5 years of experience in incident detection, response, and forensics. • Proficiency with security tools like Secureworks Taegis, Imperva SecureSphere for database security, and Nessus Tenable. • Capability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. • Comprehensive knowledge of current cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques. • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies, tools, and technologies. • Proven experience in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures. • Proficiency in disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, and methods. • Demonstrated ability to develop, research, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures. • Strong communication skills to effectively convey network security issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Familiarity with at least one major security framework. • Prior experience in the finance industry and knowledge of FINRA's cybersecurity rules and guidelines will be considered a significant advantage.
