Finance Analyst

Centiva Capital, LP (“Centiva” or the “Firm”) is a global alternative investment management firm headquartered in New York City with additional offices in London, Paris, Singapore and throughout the USA. The Firm’s flagship fund is a diversified, absolute return oriented multi-strategy fund that generally focuses on arbitrage, systematic and relative value strategies. The fund utilizes a multi-manager, multi-strategy approach.

Centiva is seeking a Finance Analyst who will be responsible for the monthly accounting close of several operating entities, expense allocations, and projects as necessary. This position will report into the Management Company Controller.

Job Description:Own the month-end close process for several management company entities.Support the accounting team by conducting bank reconciliations, managing intercompany transactions, handling accruals and prepayments, and performing various expense analyses.Take ownership of the expense management process, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures for a full pass-through expense model.Manage fund expenses and allocations.Contribute to the ongoing evolution of reporting and analysis for senior management, adding value to the overall business.Assist with system integrations as required, including the automation of an expense management system and the implementation of a new general ledger.Actively address information requests from external auditors, pinpoint opportunities to streamline audit processes, and oversee the coordination of the management company audit.Apply a dynamic analytical problem-solving approach, showcasing outstanding organizational and multitasking skills essential for the role.Maintain a flexible approach to meet the evolving needs of the team.Ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications/Required Experience/Skills:2-6 years experience in finance or accounting role (e.g. preferably public accounting background and / or private accounting background).Preferably 1+ years with a “big four” accounting firm. Strong working knowledge using MS Excel (e.g. x-lookups, pivot tables, etc.).Experience with Sage or similar general ledger a plus.The annual base salary range for this position is expected to be from $100,000 to $150,000 per year. Actual base salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on various factors including, but not limited to, work experience and credentials, skill level, and other market conditions. Details on the total compensation package, which includes a base salary, discretionary bonus and benefits package, will be finalized at the time of offer.
