Hedge Fund Accountant

Title: Hedge Fund Accountant Location: New York, NY

Centiva Capital, LP (“Centiva” or the “Firm”) is a global alternative investment management firm headquartered in New York City with additional offices in London, Paris, Singapore and throughout the USA. The Firm’s flagship fund is a diversified, absolute return oriented multi-strategy fund that generally focuses on arbitrage, systematic and relative value strategies. The fund utilizes a multi-manager, multi-strategy approach.

Centiva is looking to hire a Fund Accountant to join the Firm’s Finance team in New York City. The candidate will have day-to-day responsibility for managing daily reporting and working with prime brokers, counterparties and the Administrator on the daily and monthly NAV calculations.

Job Description:• Produce Daily Fund P+L reports. • Daily reconciliations of positions and cash versus PB, Administrators and internal systems. • Monitor cash balances, margin requirements, repo and OTC collateral balances and FX exposures. • Oversee and review Administrator’s monthly net asset value calculations and investor allocations. • Prepare weekly and monthly estimates. • Assist with annual fund financial statement audit process and related tax statement preparation. • Assist with regulatory compliance, including Form 13F, 13G, 13H, Form ADV, CPO-PQR and Form PF, or other regulatory report as needed. • Monitor and maintain appropriate financial controls, policies, procedures and systems to support existing operations and continued growth.

Qualifications/Required Experience/Skills: • Public accounting experience and CPA preferred. • In addition to public accounting experience, approx. 2-4 years accounting/operations experience at buy-side hedge fund, credit focused preferred. • Experience with shadow general ledger • Experience with NAV calculation and investor allocations. • Experience with various investment products including fixed income securities and equity derivatives. • Experience with performance attribution and exposure analysis. • Strong working knowledge using MS Excel (e.g. macros, vlookups, pivot tables, etc.). • Highly organized and self-motivated. • Process and detail oriented with a strong work ethic and team focused attitude.

The annual base salary range for this position is expected to be from $75,000 to $125,000 per year. Actual base salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on various factors including, but not limited to, work experience and credentials, skill level, and other market conditions. Details on the total compensation package, which includes a base salary, discretionary bonus, and benefits package, will be finalized at the time of offer.
