CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join join our Commercial & Institutional - MEP Team at our office in either Colonie, Rochester, Syracuse or Brooklyn, NY; Parsippany, NJ; or Boston, MA. The right candidate may have the option of working remotely from home.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA creates state-of-the-art mechanical systems that prioritize energy efficiency without sacrificing strength or ramping up costs. Our technical professionals have valuable hands-on experience as plant managers and engineers in industrial settings so we can create solutions for complex facilities including complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering, and design/construction services.

Working alongside CHA’s professional engineers, the Electrical Engineer II supports the design development, implementation and technical analysis of technical various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The Electrical Engineer II aids in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. The individual in this role works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

The Electrical Engineer II identifies technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections. Additionally, the professional in this role develops and maintains a familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the firm’s and client’s practices, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering degree required Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required Minimum 2 years' related Engineering experience required Strong knowledge of engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline Familiar with QA/QC procedures Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
