CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to support and lead projects in our Environmental Compliance Section based out of our Colonie, NY or Brooklyn, NY office.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA is uniquely qualified to assist any client with environmental services. From subsurface investigations, to multi-media compliance, to threatened and endangered species studies, CHA draws on the expertise of staff team members that possess considerable training, certifications, and real-world experience. We have been providing environmental consulting services for over 30 years, and we employ a team of approximately 100 scientists and engineers who keep abreast of current regulatory issues.

The Environmental Compliance Specialist will be responsible for the execution and oversight of multifaceted environmental compliance services to public and private clients throughout New York State and the Northeast Region. The Environmental Compliance Specialist will directly report to the Environmental Compliance Section Manager in Colonie, NY. This individual will be measured on his/her/their technical knowledge, adherence to project schedules, and quality of project deliverables. The Environmental Compliance Specialist will also be responsible for developing business opportunities/relationships, providing technical support regarding environmental compliance regulations, and supporting CHA’s project managers across various disciplines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or related field Minimum three (3) years' related experience required Knowledge of and/or experience with all or some of the following: PBS/CBS Compliance – NYS & Federal Environmental Compliance Auditing EPCRA – Tier II, Form R Reporting SPCC/SPR Plan Development SPDES Permitting and Compliance Cooling Tower/Building Water Program Development and Compliance OSHA Programs a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel required Strong ability to work in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to problem solve and provide unique solutions Has proficient regulatory knowledge and understanding Demonstrates and promotes a positive attitude toward position, group, and company Must have the ability to occasionally work in the field or travel Valid US driver's license is required
