CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Experienced Surveyor - Central/Eastern Connecticut to join our Infrastructure - Transportation & Survey Team at our office in Hartford, CT. The professional in this role will be in the office approximately 80% of the time with the remaining time being spent in the field.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA's comprehensive approach to survey and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is the hallmark of a successful project. Our approach includes a variety of tools and skillsets from boots on the ground to advanced measurement technology including the use of drones. The Experienced Surveyor - Central/Eastern Connecticut is responsible for obtaining and handling data and internal survey assignments utilizing CADD software. This individual will measure, record, and calculate data based on his/her findings and assist in creating drawings of the project site. The professional in this role will understand the various QC steps to be taken when preparing a survey plan or document. Additionally, the Experienced Surveyor - Central/Eastern Connecticut will also be proactive in developing their own self checking methods.

Requirements

High School Diploma required; Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree preferred NSPS-CST Level II certification preferred LSIT preferred Valid US driver’s license required Minimum of 4 years of related experience required Rail experience a plus Proficient with Microsoft Office required AutoCAD design software required, MicroStation & Inroads software preferred Experience with data processing & product deliverables Good oral and written communications Demonstrates a good knowledge about the surveying industry Strong ability to work in a team environment Must be able to carry equipment over rough, uneven terrain, and physically navigate varying field conditions Ability to travel short-term preferred Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions required Ability to represent him/herself and the company in a professional manner to the public
