What You Will Do

Work under general direction to perform a wide range of mechanical and electrical maintenance tasksKnow and comply with all safety policies and proceduresSupport and promote the site’s continuous improvement cultureUse hand and power tools to accomplish these tasksChange lubrication fluids and filters in production equipmentReplace lighting and ballasts as neededComplete preventative maintenance on equipment at regular intervalsParticipate in on-call rotation for the departmentDevelop good working relationships with other departments on the site through professional communicationMaintain a clean and well-organized work areaWork in a variety of environments at a chemical plant, mostly outdoors and in all weather conditionsOther maintenance related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED1 year experience in general maintenance workBasic analytical and troubleshooting skillsStrong mechanical knowledge, especially around fixed and rotating equipment (pumps, piping, storage tanks, etc)Basic electrical knowledgeAbility to troubleshoot electrical instrumentation and devicesStrong organizational and time management skillsBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Emaint, SAP, etc)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to work effectively independently and as part of a teamAbility to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to organize daily activities of self and others
