📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Senior Accountant We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Accountant to join a growing team, with a locally based Headquarters.
This is an opportunity to support and complete a wide variety of accounting duties, including reconciling the general ledger, creating journal entries, variance analysis, budgeting/forecasting and supporting the monthly close.
Essential Duties Prepare journal entries, billings and reports, as well as reconciliation to subsidiary financialsReconcile bank statements to general ledgerCo-lead the monthly close and create monthly financial reportsReconcile numerous general ledger accounts, including those related to sales and cost of goods sold adjustments, intercompany advances, intercompany investments, etc.Reconcile, communicate and resolve intercompany differences between subsidiariesAssist with other period end consolidation and reporting responsibilitiesAssist with reprojections and annual planSupport training and ongoing development for Staff Accountants Provide backup support for Fixed Assets and Consolidation AccountantsProject and other support, including reports, analyses, etc.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related areaThree or more years experience working with general ledger reconciliation and monthly closeStrong Excel skills (Pivot Tables and VLookup experience required)Understanding of GAAPAbility to multi-task and support various efforts in the department simultaneouslyGeneral ledger reconciliation experienceStrong organizational skill and the ability to maintain detailed recordsGood interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment or independently
