📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst. This is a full-time, permanent role with a growing manufacturing and distributor. This role will have high visibility to senior level leadership and the scope of the role will expand as the employer continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis: Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to analyze distribution data, including inventory levels, transportation costs, and delivery times.Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to distribution operations, such as order fill rates, on-time deliveries, and inventory turnover.Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels across distribution centers and warehouses to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce carrying costs.Transportation Optimization: Evaluate transportation routes, modes, and carriers to minimize costs and improve delivery efficiency. Identify opportunities for consolidation and optimization of shipments.Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline distribution processes and improve operational efficiency. Implement best practices and recommend technological solutions to enhance distribution capabilities.Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing distribution performance, trends, and insights. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in distribution analysis, preferably in a fast-paced distribution or logistics environment.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python.Knowledge of distribution principles, inventory management techniques, and transportation logistics.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
