About The Role:We are seeking a driven candidate to join our skilled team responsible for implementing and supporting Trading Systems from a Level 2 Support standpoint. This pivotal role involves direct interaction with our business operations, leveraging core technologies that position our company as a frontrunner in electronic trading. You'll become part of a dynamic and self-driven team dedicated to implementing and supporting our Trading Applications. Your dedication, initiative, and innovative contributions will not only be rewarded but also open up opportunities for growth within our organization across various departments. Your primary responsibilities will include providing day-to-day support and implementing our trading systems, along with documenting processes and developing new tools as needed. Additionally, you'll be responsible for maintaining and fostering internal customer relationships. In this capacity, you'll collaborate closely with senior engineers and development staff to align with system design directives. What You’ll Do: Supervise and monitor the functionality of all trading applications, ensuring optimal performance of the system environment.Acts as secondary support to troubleshoot incidents and address requests escalated by the business. Equally, participates in the Problem Management process as needed.Handles installation requests originating from QA and Development teams, which encompass bug fixes, upgrades, and enhancements of trading applications. Ensures compliance with established and documented baselines, policies, and procedures throughout the process.Deploys the trading application with necessary third-party tools and applications across staging and production environments.Develops scripts utilizing Shell, Perl, PowerShell, and SQL to automate installation, monitoring, and data gathering, serving as tools to assess system health.Produces documentation outlining application setup and procedures for task completion, including installation procedures and troubleshooting steps (e.g., runbooks for installation, remedies for known application issues, and troubleshooting steps).Participates in meetings and conference calls focused on discussing production issues, scheduled production changes, or upcoming projects.Oversee and execute Changes throughout the Change lifecycle. Complete and submit request and change control forms to document the changes made in both Non-Production and Production environments. Follow up on the status of each request until it is completed.Demonstrate understanding and evidence of adhering to the ITIL Framework support model for Change, Incident, Request, and Problem Management. What We’re Looking For: ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with proficient documentation abilities, including substantial experience in software deployment and drafting functional procedures.Interpersonal Skills: Proficient in effective communication with stakeholders, peers, subordinates, and customers.Demonstrated capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Awareness of customer needs and technological advancements to fulfill client demands.Capability to collaborate with various Lines of Business and regions.Demonstrated history of providing internal customer support.Project management skillsUnderstanding of financial products and services (or demonstrated desire to learn)Windows Server operating systemsUnix / Linux – Preferably power user levelSQL (T-SQL, SQL Server Management Services)Familiarity with networking utilities (e.g., ssh, sftp, traceroute)Shell Scripting, particularly Perl (PowerShell, Bash)Solid understanding of the change management processThorough understanding of ITIL-based support processes, including incident escalation.
