Chicken of the Sea International (COSI) has been wholly owned since 2000 by Thai Union (TU), the largest global producer of ambient seafood. Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods is a sister U.S. company that focuses on frozen and chilled seafood sales. About the Role
Join the Chicken of the Sea brand as our VP of Finance. As the VP of Finance, you will direct and oversee the financial activities and will play a critical role in the financial leadership and strategic direction of our company. We are looking for a finance leader who has a commercial and operational mindset to partner with the company’s senior leadership team to develop and implement strategies that drive the company’s overall goals and objectives. The VP oversees finance and accounting functions, which include financial planning, budget management, plant cost controlling, cashflow management, timely financial reporting, internal control, and compliance, etc.
The VP of Finance is responsible for reporting on the financial health of the company to the board of directors and escalating material non-compliance issues to the board. This role reports to the Group CFO in Thailand and EVP in Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities
Budgeting, Reforecasting and Financial Managementand implement financial strategies that support the company’s goals and objectives.annual budgeting and monthly reforecasting, providing analysis to leadership.actual performance against budget and provide regular updates and analysis to the Executive Leadership team and Board of Directors.and maintain financial forecasting models or insightful financial analysis that support commercial and strategic analysis and decisions.Financial Operationsand oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.manufacturing costs and optimize expenses.with commercial and supply chain leaders on inventory and working capital.accuracy and compliance in financial records and reporting.financial reports to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors, providing analysis and recommendations as needed.financing and cash management strategies.compliance with regulatory requirements and manage external partnerships.leadership and mentorship to the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.the Board of Directors to financial irregularities and provide strategic advice.executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.credit decisions and the receivable insurance renewal process.

Requirements:years of finance experience, preferably in consumer goods, food and beverage, or retail.degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting, CPA required; MBA desirable.analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and advanced Excel.presence and ability to collaborate with senior leaders.in fast-paced environments and strong team player.proactive, and adaptable with excellent problem-solving skills.to innovate while maintaining attention to detail.
