Social Media Manager

Choice Tax Relief, Inc. is seeking a Social Media Manager to post long-form videos to YouTube and short-form videos to other platforms, along with other social media-oriented tasks (such as responding to comments on various platforms). The purpose of our digital content is primarily to generate qualified leads for the company who need help with their back tax debt and/or unfiled tax returns.

The ideal candidate is an organized, self-motivated, personable individual with sharp critical thinking skills and a high attention to detail who has basic familiarity with "what works" on various social media platforms.

Candidates with previous video editing experience are highly preferred.This individual will work directly with the Owner of the company (who generally appears in our social media content as the "face" of the company) at our office in Valencia (Santa Clarita), CA.

Responsibilities:Converting long-form, horizontal YouTube videos to short-form vertical format and publishing on Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and TikTok (including captions, emojis, descriptions, and hashtags).Publishing YouTube videos from raw footage provided to you (you don’t have to do any recording or editing), including writing descriptions, tables of contents, uploading thumbnails, completing other pre-publishing tasks on YouTube, scheduling content, etc.Assigning thumbnail creation to freelance graphic designer(s) to ensure timely publishing of YouTube content.Responding to comments on YouTube and other social media platforms.Publishing other social media content as required.Tracking social media posts and their performance.Writing and publishing simple blog content as required.Performing other social media and marketing-oriented tasks as required.

Qualifications:Familiarity with YouTube, Instagram (Reels), Facebook (Reels), and TikTok.Strong writing, spelling, and grammar skills are required (we don't want typos in our content).High level of attention to detail and good "eye" for quality content.No tax knowledge is required — but you must be willing to learn some basic concepts about taxes and tax relief since all of our content is about these topics.Ability to manage a freelance graphic designer to ensure timely delivery of YouTube thumbnails.Those with basic video editing skills, including tools that use AI to split up long-form videos into short-form videos (along with caption creation), are highly preferred.Those with basic knowledge of social media scheduling tools are highly preferred.
