Whether engaged in customer service, product design or shipping, we all serve together to permanently impact people’s lives through our scripturally inspired products.RoleAs our Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will play an important role in providing outstanding customer service by managing accounts receivable while maintaining positive customer relationships. You are detail-oriented, well organized, self-motivated, and able to communicate well with customers and team members. You will work independently on accounts receivable and collaborate with our customer service specialists to provide a unified positive experience for our customers.
DutiesNew Customer Account OnboardingTeam up with Customer Service to provide a positive new customer onboarding experience.Research credit and establish terms.InvoicingProcess and email/mail daily invoices.Provide necessary export documentation to customers/freight forwarders.Accounts Receivable Aging ManagementManage credit holds for new orders.Process and email/mail monthly statements.Communicate regularly with customers regarding past due accounts.Issue demand letters if necessary.Work with a collection agency when necessary.Payment/Credit/Deduction Application and ReconciliationReceive and post check/ACH/credit card payments to customer accounts.Process credit card Payments.Process credit card authorization for new orders.Customer follow up on failed credit card transactions.Customer Service Credit Memos/DeductionsValidate and process credit memos for various customer service issues.
Your QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.Ability to plan, organize and prioritize to meet deadlines and work independently.Attention to detail and accuracy.Strong team player with demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and positive, professional attitude.NetSuite or comparable ERP experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and ExcelExcellent written and oral communication skills
Location: On-site at the Christian Art Gifts office at 359 Longview Dr, Bloomingdale, IL
Hours and Schedule: Hours are from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and may require occasional overtime upon supervisor’s request and approval.
