POSITION SUMMARY: This position has managerial responsibility over all Patient Access Quality Improvement initiatives

EDUCATION: High school graduate. Bachelor Degree in Health Care Management or like field preferred.

In-depth knowledge of Call Center, Central Referrals, Pre-Authorization, Inpatient Notification, No Surprise Billing β Good Faith Estimate and SB71 processes, and RegistrationStrong technical and analytical skills. On the technical side, must showcase an understanding of Epic and the subsequent Patient Access systems all the while partnering with IT to develop specification requirements and adjustments to existing system configurationA demonstrated ability to communicate well both orally and in writingThe ability to handle issues with diplomacy and professionalismThe ability to establish priorities, effectively problem solve, and use good judgment and decision making in day-to-day operationsThe ability to oversee individuals with diverse skills and responsibilitiesWork well in time bound and the occasional urgent situationsA demonstrated leadership role in collaborative teamworkPossess knowledge of process improvement methodologies, particularly those with respect to developing baselines, identifying core issues, and measuring through the improvement to achieve goals and targetsKnowledge of the functional areas of patient scheduling, prior authorizations, referrals, revenue cycle, reimbursement practices, registration, and regulatory guidelines required along with ability to analyze large data sets, develop work plans, and build reportingAdvanced computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel & OutlookKnowledge of EPIC is essentialAbility to perform intense concentration for extended periodsAbility to easily adapt to new programs and technology
EXPERIENCE: Seven (7) yearsβ experience in Health care field required along with a minimum of three (5) in leading performance improvement

Works in a clean, well-lighted ventilated smoke-free environment.
