AVP, Underwriting Team Leader - Multinational

As a key member of the group, the Multinational Team Leader will assist the Multinational Underwriting Manager in the achievement of profitable production growth of property & casualty business. In addition, this position will assist with establishing and cultivating business relationships with brokers, clients and other relevant spheres of influence to assure the continued flow of new business opportunities. The Multinational Team Leader will be involved in training and development of newer employees.RESPONSIBILITIES:Contribute to the achievement of the Multinational segment business plan. The Team Leader is responsible for supervising a team of Underwriters, production underwriting and maintenance of new and renewal Multinational accounts within a defined territory. In addition, the Team Leader is responsible for establishing and cultivating business relationships with brokers and clients within the assigned territory to assure the continued flow of new business opportunities while representing all Multinational segments and products.Market and represent all Chubb Multinational segments and business products with specific focus on Commercial Accounts clients with significant international exposures.Produce new business opportunities within the territory.Evaluate, select, underwrite, price, quote and maintain new and renewal business.Implement bound accounts and coordinate implementation activities with Chubb Overseas General group.Develop and implement marketing plans with brokers and clients in territory.Liaise with other Chubb production units to identify account expansion opportunitiesRetain accounts through active participation in Chubb Stewardship process.Adhere to Chubb standards on pricing and servicing.Participate in product line projects as required.Forecast monthly production to Manager.Oversee proper policy issuance and other account agreements execution including foreign policy implementations.

The pay range for the role is $102,000 to $168,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. QUALIFICATIONSCollege degree, business or related fields or equivalent experience.5+ years supervisory experience. 8+ years of underwriting experience.Knowledge of Controlled Master Programs and international casualty underwriting principles highly desirable.Superior communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.Superior analytical skills needed to evaluate and develop Controlled Master Program submissions.Excellent sales and marketing skills.Mostly local travelAdvanced computer skills preferred.Knowledge and proficiency with technical issues, compliance, coverage, products and pricing strategies expected.
