Float Phlebotomist
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Looking for a Phlebotomist that will be responsible for using their medical knowledge to take blood samples from guests/residents. Their duties include preparing the testing area with the proper tools, explaining to the resident the process when inserting needles and retrieving samples and labeling samples.
This position will float between our five Columbus skilled nursing facilities.

Responsibilities
Preparing residents before drawing blood.Explaining blood draw procedures to residents and answering any questions about the process.Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas.Gathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubes.Verifying residents’ information and labeling blood samples properly.Accurately updating resident information in the organization’s database.Helping nervous or frightened residents remain calm during blood draws.
Requirements
High School Graduate/GED.Professional certification in phlebotomy from a recognized program.Licensed Phlebotomist.
