Expected Starting Salary Range: 34.50 - 43.54
Subfunction Definition
Manages data analysis, usage requirements, and data governance with a focus on analytic and integration-intensive initiatives. Primary responsibilities include understanding data use, analysis, and integration requirements, guiding solution design and architecture, including prototyping, visualizations, quality assurance, and ongoing data quality. This role specializes in supporting leaders and data practitioner staff with insights, management reports, and analysis for decision-making processes, as well as driving data literacy and data governance. The role may be aligned with a domain, department, or the Enterprise program.
Supports teams independently.
Representative Responsibilities
Problem Analysis and Project Management:Collaborate with clinical, operations, and research teams to understand, document, and apply appropriate analytic methods to meet complex analytic needs and identify data-driven opportunities.Understand and communicate IT and business constraints across the organization.Document and catalog new data sources and process pipelines.Determine requirements for training and evolving deep learning models and algorithms.Execute project tasks with urgency and high quality, following Data/AI Governance principles.Communicate project status clearly and effectively using departmental project management tools.Actively participate in project meetings and stand-ups.
Data Exploration and Preparation:Utilize Enterprise data preparation tools to create datasets.Apply statistical analysis and visualization techniques, including hierarchical clustering, t-SNE, and PCA, to various data for Machine Learning.Generate hypotheses about underlying business/clinical mechanics and test them using quantitative methods.Collaborate with domain experts to understand system workflows and data generation processes.Presentation & Operationalization:Prepare reports, presentations, and visualizations to share insights with clinical, operational, and research teams, adhering to data display standards and best practices.Collaborate with data engineers, Xops teams, and IT teams to automate and deploy solutions using established best practices.Integrate performance management and data quality tools into existing business infrastructure.Evangelize organizational analytic practices and encourage reuse of artifacts by collaborating with other data science teams.Technical and Analytical Skills:Develop proficient IT skills in coding languages (Python, R, etc.) and database programming languages.Gain proficiency in data wrangling, mining, and quantitative analysis.Utilize Enterprise Data tools as appropriate.Understand Xops methods for collaborating on data pipelines.Develop the ability to communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences using storytelling and creative visualizations.
Education/Experience
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, economics or related fields2 years of work experience in a related job discipline
