📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Electrical Engineer - Peoria, IL
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in RF design and implementing corrections for Electromagnetic Interference problems. In this role, you will be responsible for testing electrical systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise.
Key Objectives
Design and oversee the EMC Testing of our clients’ electrical systems and components for a variety of projectsConduct testing and analysis to ensure that electrical systems and components meet project EMC requirementsDevelop deep understanding of our clients, products, goals, and business strategy; evaluate systems and processes; and identify areas for improvementCollaborate with other engineers and professionals to ensure that projects are completed on timeProvide technical support and guidance to other team members as neededDevelop and maintain project documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and technical reportsMeet Radiometrics A2LA ISO 17025 accredited quality standards by maintaining knowledge of relevant technologies and best practices and by adhering to national and local regulations
Main Responsibilities
Design and develop test pans for our clients’ electrical equipment and systemsPerform calculations and analysis to exhibit compliance of clients electrical systemsCreate and maintain technical documentation for clients’ electrical systems complianceTroubleshoot and resolve electrical issuesManage the execution and timely completion of projects by analyzing scope and determining specifications, establishing test methods for product investigations, analyzing test programs for adequacy and sequence, examining samples for compliance with requirements, and preparing reportsFormulate plans with detailed calculations, drawings, diagrams, project specificationsMonitor industry trends and implement appropriate methods for keeping EMC Testing on the cutting edgeMaintain Calibration documentation for Testing equipment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience in electrical engineering preferredProficient in Microsoft Office and other electrical design softwareExperience with electrical systems design, testing, and troubleshootingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentKnowledge of EMC Standards and regulationsStrong EMC electronic testing capabilitiesStrong focus on quality control
