📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are currently assisting our client, a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer, with a Manufacturing Engineering Manager search located near Fremont, OH. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be responsible for all new product launch activities for the site. This position will ensure successful start-of-production and direction for all plant manufacturing engineers for effective monitoring and optimization of assigned production processes and final assembly work cells. This Manager will also be expected to find opportunities for building production processes, continuous improvement, building and maintaining employee relations, and the overall increase of operations efficiency.
Responsibilities:Lead and mentor the engineering team to develop best practices in identifying, troubleshooting and resolving all types of process/production issuesDevelop methods, processes, and procedures that will improve processes, eliminate failures and reduce manufacturing costsDetermine long-term company objectives in terms of production metrics and action plans to achieve those strategic goalsWork in conjunction with other departments including operations, marketing, and product development to ensure company needs are being metLead efforts in testing, installing, and commissioning manufacturing assembly lines for new productsOversee team members while still contributing to continuous improvement at the site
Requirements:Bachelor Degree in an engineering field preferredTier 1 automotive manufacturing experience preferred
Total Compensation:$120,000 - $150,000
