📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We've been retained by our client, a global leader in their industry, with a Plant Manager search located in Akron, OH. This position will be responsible for managing all plant operations and improving employee engagement. The successful candidate will be expected to find opportunities for building production processes, continuous improvement, building and maintaining employee relations, and the overall increase of operational efficiency. This is a high-impact position that will have the opportunity to play a decisive role in the future success and growth of the organization.
Responsibilities:Manage the operations with a result driven framework focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement to meet and exceed expectations and business goalsEmpower teams with a managerial style that is collaborative, inclusive, and balanced in an approach to achieve commitmentsIdentify, share and leverage best practices across the businessPlan and direct the manufacturing operations at the lowest cost consistent with established operating metrics/goalsProvide leadership and employee development through selection/talent acquisition, performance management, training/development, coaching/mentoring and motivation of management, supervisory and hourly personnel in alignment with the business goals and objectives
Requirements:Bachelor's degree required, Engineering degree preferred5 or more years of manufacturing operations leadershipPrior experience leading, coaching, and developing a team and delivering performance metrics
