📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are currently assisting our client, an industry leader, with a Process Engineer search located near Florence, SC. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Process Engineer will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and lean initiatives throughout the site’s manufacturing processes. This role will work closely with a cross functional team to ensure the successful development of new product launches, engineering design, and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:Drive continuous improvement throughout plant and provide team with expertise, direction and adviceSupport new program launches by developing new manufacturing processesWork closely with customers to provide technical expertise and to identify, troubleshoot and resolve all types of process/production issuesManage and lead cross-functional process improvement projects and business wide improvement initiatives to reduce errors, waste and product defectsAssess, develop, and implement Lean Manufacturing action plans to support achievement of strategy deployment and strategic business growthDevelop methods, processes, and procedures that will improve processes, eliminate failures and reduce manufacturing costsOversee the efficiency and safety of current manufacturing processes
Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalentA minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience as a Process Engineer or equivalent in a manufacturing environment
