Accounts Receivable Analyst
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
SUMMARY The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for conducting complex reconciliation activities primarily related to assigned to the customers based in major, national and international markets. The Analyst also analyzes, researches and recommends solutions for moderate to complex account receivable discrepancies, irregularities and chargeback deductions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
maintains, processes accounts receivable transactions, including but not limited to cash application, adjustments, reconciliations, and write-offscustomer service regarding collection issues, account adjustments, or payment discrepanciesresearches and resolves high volume of customer deductions/chargebacks pertaining to shipping violation claims, allowances, discounts, damages, pricing, shortages and returnsreports and queries from multiple data platforms and vendor portalsand resolves customer billing inquiries and disputes; escalates to supervisor or manager as neededdirect cash payments to assigned accountsreconciliation analysis on various chargeback deductions (merchandise returns, shortages, pricing, etc.)customer consignment accountsstandardized operational management of consignment billing and paymentsand performs routine and complex financial analysis to support account decision makingdepartment management of outstanding account issueswith internal departments regarding various customer issuesinvalid deductions within the claim's allotted time-frame and per vendor guidelinesa weekly and monthly status reports on assigned accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS proficiencies in Microsoft Office applications. (Excel - Pivot Tables, V-lookups, etc.)in querying and reporting.to develop training manuals for the credit processes.ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities.possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detailanalytical and financial acumen.NAV or SAP experience, a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Accounting or business degree preferred. A minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
