Warehouse Manager

Description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for directing and engaging employees and Warehouse Supervisors in CJ Logistics', Logistics Center to achieve productivity goals. The Warehouse Manager will manage Warehouse Supervisors and will spend most of the time coaching and leading the operations team to efficiently and safely achieve production and quality goals. The role will collaborate with various CJ Logistics teams on implementing initiatives and coordinating resources to implement solutions and training.

Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000

Provide Leadership

Manage Workforce Warehouse Supervisors

Train warehouse supervisors and hold them accountable for performanceEnsure team leaders are observing, training, and coaching operations employees to drive performanceConduct daily team meetingsMonitor operations on the floor and create a strong presence in the logistics centerProvide consistent messaging and communicationsConnect employees to CJ Logistics and the Customer business objectives

Deliver Exceptional Performance (including Safety, Quality, Productivity & Customer Requirements)

Implement and manage action plans to drive positive resultsManage staffing plansReview employee & shift performance with warehouse supervisorDrive cost-reduction initiatives and continuous-improvement activitySupport team leader efforts to improve operational performance

Oversee the Workplace Environment

Ensure the building is clean and safeAddress and manage product cases and damage responseTroubleshoot problems and remove obstacles so that warehouse supervisors can properly manage their shiftsEnsure systems are set up appropriately and enforce process complianceManage the environment to ensure throughput and system efficiency

Liaison with O2 and CO functions Job

Required

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equal work history3-5 years of experience supervising employees and managing leadersSkills in leadership, organization, communication and cross functional teamworkUnderstanding of warehousing operations with experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing environmentEmphasis on safety is extremely important

Preferred

Familiarity with MHEFamiliarity with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and WordFamiliarity with warehouse management systems or Red Prairie WMS is a plusAbility shift priorities easily, and multi-task in a highly transactional environmentExcellent problem solving skillsAbility to engage with the workforce and leadership teams and create a positive environment and culture
