Job Description

The Pathfinder team works closely with our clients to help them prepare for a future transaction. We work with our clients and use proprietary tools to identify a baseline understanding of their business and create a customized strategic roadmap. We then partner with our clients to help them execute their roadmap, achieve their goals, maximize their future valuation, and help them prepare for a future transaction – whether they’re ready to sell today or in the future.

Financial Modeling and AnalysisCreate detailed financial models and consolidated financial statements based on client data Use financial models and financial statements to provide analysis. Work with Pathfinder Advisors to tie financial analysis with operational insights.Create client-facing valuation estimates, reports, presentations, and other materials essential to understanding and tracking a business’ success and opportunities Collaborate with other resources at Class VI (investment bank, accelerator team, offshore financial resource) Client Relationship ManagementIn collaboration with the Strategic Advisor, manage client relationships. Participate in regular client meetings, lead calls related to financial performance, and work to understand the clients’ businesses and related industries.Serve as the primary point of contact for our client’s analysis and financial requests. Effectively request financial information and clarify questions. Support Pathfinder clients in their transition from advisory services to go-to-market actionsProject Management, Collaboration and CommunicationWork cross functionally with Investment Bank and Accelerator teams to grow technical skills, review analyses, and seamlessly handoff relevant client informationWork collaboratively with a cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality services to our clientsPartner with Investment Bank team, Pathfinder team, and other Class VI stakeholders to formalize/standardize the Pathfinder financial deliverables. Continuously evolve these deliverables based on internal and external feedback.Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and meeting client expectationsPrepare and present detailed reports, presentations, and documentation to clients and internal stakeholders, adapting communication style to diverse audiencesFoster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the internal team and with clientsThis role will report to the Investment Bank team for financial technical skills development and oversight and report to the Pathfinder Advisory team for advisory deliverables and overall soft skills developmentOther duties as assigned

As an Advisor on our M&A Advisory Services team, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients strategically prepare their businesses for sale in the coming years. Leveraging your prior consulting or investment banking experience, your deep curiosity, and strong analytical skills, you will work closely with clients to deliver comprehensive solutions that maximize the value of our clients' businesses in anticipation of future transactions.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field with good academic track record (3.5 GPA or higher)A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment bankingExperience building financial models in the investment banking industry, with the ability to prove a deep understanding of mergers and acquisitions concepts, company valuation drivers, and how to build a three-statement operating modelHigh proficiency in data analysis of large, complex data setsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple, fast-paced projects at onceAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, TeamsStrong appreciation of and respect for the entrepreneurial spiritAuthorization to work anywhere in the U.S.Nice to havesFINRA Series 79 licenseMBA or advanced degree

Target all-in comp of $110-140k, including base salary and target bonus. Generous benefits package offered. Bonus compensation is tied to both overall firm performance (financial metrics, i.e., revenue target) and individual performance.
