Class B CDL Box Truck Driver - Local Route - HAZMAT

Job Description

Safety-Kleen in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee (Driver Class B Trainee). This role will train to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services in a defined route. Safety-Kleen will pay for you to obtain your CDL.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe mannerMay visit 10-12 customer sites per daySwitch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutionsService parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinksUp-sell at customer locations and generate new leads in the fieldService automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businessesComplete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely mannerFollow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rulesSafely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirementsObserve all company environmental health and safety operating guidelinesPerforms other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Class B CDLObtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employmentBasic computer and math skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer service skillsPerform physical functions per job requirements Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by positionPer OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong customer service skillsCommercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL)
