Job Description In this role, you will develop and execute talent strategies, enable a culture of inclusion and deploy organizational effectiveness tools that attract reward, engage, retain, and develop our diverse talent base. This role will support the Operations Function and report directly to the Senior Director, HR- Operations & Central Functions. This position is an on-site role and is based in Austin, TX. Primary Responsibilities:
Create and execute an agile people strategy across assigned manufacturing facilities and supply chain leadership that advances critical business priorities and supports the attraction, development and retention of our talent - while embracing the future of work. Quantify business results via metrics review. Leverage process improvement/lean manufacturing tools and methodology to align with business needs. Collaborate with the broader HR network (i.e. Employee & Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management) to develop and deploy strategies that address factory/operations needs. Build and execute a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion plan to drive tangible improvements in diverse representation. Integrate DEI principles and practices into business goals, talent development strategies. Promote a strong culture of inclusion across the organization. Orchestrate key talent movement with an aim towards building diverse teams and robust succession. * Partner with leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of their teams and their organizational design. Facilitate workshops to re-evaluate existing structures, where needed. Lead change management efforts and new leader onboarding/assimilation activities, as required. * Counsel / coach functional leaders on matters concerning development of their organization to enhance effectiveness and potential. Connect leaders to the right resources to support their own development and the development/effectiveness of their teams. * Serve as a member of the Operations & Central Functions HR team, actively partnering with other team members to drive innovative, strategic, and consistent people strategies across all of Electronic Systems. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8+ years of relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 12+ years of relevant experience is required. * Must be willing to travel up to 30%. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. The Processing, Guidance, and Control (PGC) center team combines the performance disciplines of Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MSA), Signal Processing (SP), and Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) to provide robust effectors solutions for the warfighter. The PGC center specializes in providing SP and GNC solutions in integrated flight simulations that support the lifecycle of the product, from conceptual design and trades, to development, even before the target hardware is available, to evaluating the system performance and reducing the number of trials required before fielding a product. We are looking for a Principal Signal Processing Engineer to lead signal processing development on an Advanced Technologies program. As the Signal Processing Lead, you will provide technical direction and leadership for developing and integrating signal processing algorithms and sensor models into the Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS). You will be involved in running the Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS) and analyzing performance predictions and results to determine if algorithms are meeting performance expectations. The Algorithm Performance Team Lead will be responsible for aligning the team to the vision of the product, maintaining, and aligning the backlog to stakeholder needs, day-to-day execution of the individuals on the team, and reporting status to the Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL). This position is an onsite role. Responsibilities to Anticipate: * You will act with advanced to expert knowledge of signal processing to support budget, schedule, development, execution, and completion of difficult and often complex program objectives.
You will use and modify simulations for the design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of signal processing algorithms and models. You will participate in engineering lab and field test environments to test, verify, and validate sensor models and signal processing algorithm performance in accordance with requirements. You will apply signal processing knowledge to resolve numerous and often undefined problems and issues in design reviews, peer reviews, and technical briefings to parties within and outside own discipline. Selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain special access program clearance.
Basic Qualifications: * Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of Signal Processing experience.
Experience with C++ and/or C. Experience with MATLAB and/or Python. Experience integrating signal processing algorithms in real-time, embedded software systems. Experience running, modifying, and/or evaluating simulations. Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: * Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics, or Math.
Experience managing or leading others in a technical and/or functional capacity within an engineering environment. Experience with missile components and systems. Experience using UNIX/Linux-based workstations. Good communication, interaction, planning, and time management skills. Experience with implementing agile processes.
