Job Description GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: Work in the modelling and simulation group that help develop the latest in unmanned tactical air vehicles and target drones. Be part of a team that works in a fast paced dynamic environment that takes concepts through design, development, production, test and delivers the state of the art capability to the customers. Perform a diverse array of engineering tasks related to the simulation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and associated subsystems modeling in support of software and hardware integration and test environments. Push the technology envelope to deliver affordable tactical drone and unmanned airial targets to the customer. *This position may consider remote candidates DOE* ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The duties and responsibilities listed below apply to all levels of Modeling and Simulation Engineers.A Modeling and Simulation Engineer is expected to demonstrate proficiency in these duties: * Simulation of airframe dynamics, systems, subsystems, and environmental conditions.

Generation and maintenance of six degree of freedom (6DOF) simulations. Support integration with software in the loop (SWIL) and hardware in the loop (HWIL) simulations. Support various hardware/software design, test, troubleshooting, and documentation activities. Analyses in support of requirements generation, verification, and validation. Prepare formal, controlled engineering documentation (i.e. design documentation, test plans, technical reports, etc.). Prepare and present design review material in support of technical interchange meetings with suppliers and external/internal customers. Support customer training activities. Provides supervision and guidance on the proper operation and use of simulation models and exercises. Provides guidance and the valid M&S tools to utilize for specific problems. Supports the development of approaches for utilizing M&S to achieve analysis objectives. Other roles may include the development or application of novel software scripts to further process outputs of M&S tools. May support live, constructive, or virtual training.
