Fund Accounting Manager
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a Fund Administration Manager, you will administer, report, review, and understand industry standards accounting areas of the client’s financial statements and investor reporting needs and, in so doing, will broaden your accounting, finance and analytical skills. You will communicate/interact with clients and their investors. You will prepare/review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for investors, consultants and other stakeholders including financial information, performance returns, operations and variance analysis.
Closed end funds – Closed-end funds experience is required, open-ended funds experience is nice to have.Consolidation experience – they must have experience consolidating funds and financial statements. Accrual accounting – accrual accounting is required, If they only have cash-basis accounting Waterfall calculations – they must have experience with the Waterfall calculations. Private equity / real estate investment (REIT) funds – must have experience in these types of funds. No interest in mutual funds or hedge funds experience.ERP experience – Investran is highly desired, but collect ERP experience because that definitely makes a difference.Capital calls – should have experience either facilitating or attending the capital calls. Fund opening / fund inception –someone that has worked with a fund since inception or opening
Requirements :Minimum 5 years of Fund accounting experience, including multi-tiered structures and investor reporting.Proficient in managing multiple Fund administration projects, problem-solving, and delivering effective solutions.Experience in providing Management support for funds and affiliates, including:Reviewing and analyzing financial statements, investor statements, and supporting schedules, with the ability to prepare financial footnotes.In-depth understanding of investments within assigned Fund(s).Administering, reporting, reviewing, and understanding industry standards.
PreferredFamiliarity with Investran, Quickbooks, SAGE, CaseWare, and/or Appfolio is a plus.
