Engineering Project Manager/Scrum Master

Our R&D department is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Project Manager of the Engineering Program Management office (PMO). The responsibilities of the Project Manager include providing support services to projects and programs to enable their managers to make decisions based on good quality information. Working as part of a PMO team, these services will be provided to several projects concurrently and will include administration, processing data and producing information and reports as well as updating PM documents, logs and registers

To be successful as a Project Manager, you should demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Project Manager should be well-organized and able to work under pressure.

Other tasks – but not limited to, are

Able to analyze and provide reports on project data for monthly reporting cycles and dashboard reports.Administrative and logistical activitiesSupport the tracking, updating and reporting progress and or variance on all aspects of the Project to include financials (EAC), project plans (MS), work breakdown structures (WBS), project risk registers and LCM adherence with project reporting calendar to both internal and external customers.Maintain information on CAT 2 and 3 projects concerning risks, issues, plans, actuals, costs and quality outcomes through the prevailing logs and registers. Advise the project manager of any trends, deviations, and exceptions.Configuration management and version control supportCore competencies: Personal competenciesSupport a safety and security-oriented culture.Show initiative and drive, take responsibility and dare to challenge the team to ensure a high qualityExtremely structured, very systematic, thorough and persistentA good team player who can communicate effectively with othersHave the desire and passion for performing system safety analysis and assessmentKey measures and milestones: Development principles and activities according to Product Lifecycle Flow (PLF) and Life Cycle Management (LCM). Deliveries according to agreed project schedule. Deliverables contributing to overall product quality (e.g. Performance, failure rate, yield).

As our PM, your qualifications should ideally be:Bachelor’s degree, BS in Engineering, ORPrevious PM position with a minimum of 7 plus years experience,Masters/MBA with a minimum of 7 years experience.JOB COMPLEXITY: You engage with multi-faceted challenges where analysis of a situation or data requires a review of relevant factors. The ability to exercise judgment and abide by policies to determine appropriate action will be an important skill. The ability to make complex decisions with a positive impact on the organization with minimal data is expected.INTERACTION: Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain the cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules. The ability to resolve situations by working (written and verbal) with vendors and consultants is expected.

Possesses and applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Job Complexity: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
