📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is a highly reputable Private Equity Fund, seeking to add an experienced VP/Director to their Investor Relations / Fund Raising team in NYC. Firm has a impeccable reputation within Sustainable Infrastructure and Real Assets.
Select individual should be well versed with proven track record of effectively raising capital from pensions/endowments/consultants and institutional investors.
Primary duties and responsibilitiesSource and screen prospective investors and strategically partner with internal sales teamDrive global fundraising efforts by working closely with external consultantsExecute on institutional capital raising through client universe including but not limited to top corporate and public pensions, endowment & foundations, and consultantsSit on ESG Committee to provide investors with quarterly updatesTarget and nurture relationships with sophisticated institutional investors; pension funds, endowments, foundations and consultantsDevelop strategic and analytical frameworks for Capital Raising and business development effortsFormalize and implement a business plan and strategy to introduce firm to new investorsAttend meetings, industry events, and conferences with PM’s to meet with potential investors and to represent the firmPrepare & present due diligence findings to investment committees, Senior Management and Firm Clients.
Qualifications7+ years of experience, with at least 5 years of experience in sales, strategy consulting/ investment bank, or direct Hedge Fund Marketing/Investor Relations.Strong and well-developed analytic, problem-solving and quantitative skill, with exceptional attention to detailBA/BS degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field.Advanced degree (MBA) strongly preferredResults-orientation with an ability to take initiative, execute and complete deliverables in a timely mannerDeep understanding of Private Equity/Alternative Asset Management and/or Real Estate requiredStrong leadership potential, with excellent inter-personal skills and collaboration abilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization
